Review:

Fantastic Planet is a unique science fiction animated movie which was released in 1973 at USA. This film got a lot of positive reviews from the viewers with a total of 809945 admissions in France's box offices.

For all this time, humans are the master of all living beings on earth. But, in this movie, it is the opposite. The story tells the time when humans are being brought to a different planet by Draags (which is the aliens) and treated as their pets. 

After losing his mother who was accidentally killed by the Draags, Terr became the pet of a Draag called Tiwa. Tiwa put a collar onto Terr's neck so he is unable to escape far as she will use a certain watch to drag him back automatically. Even though Tiwa cares about him, Terr is still treated as a "pet" for her. And as Terr grows older, he realised that he has to escape from this prison.

 Terr ended up meeting other wild oms ( name for humans) and change the destiny of Draags and oms as the hero of his tribes.

In my opinion, this movie has a really good conceptual design regarding its story, characters, and place settings. Even though the genre is dominated by sci-fi, but we still can see the ancient cultures (as what the oms wearing). The story line is pretty clear, it is just sometimes a little bit too exaggerated and confusing for me, especially the scene when the Draags are doing their meditation in Savage planet and so on. I'm interested in the main character, Terr, he doesn't talk a lot, but you can see his charisma in the way he acts. 

Overall, I truly recommend this movie to you guys, especially for those who are stuck with story ideas and such, coz this movie will give another "open world" to begin with :)
