Drawing Background In Photoshop (BSA 127)
Drawing Background In Photoshop
After clearing out some outlines and fix some drawings, I tried to make the universe background in photoshop since I can add more details with the starts and such. So before I did that, I searched for some picture references and tutorials on how to do it (I'm not really good with brushes actually...). I managed to find several picture references from internet:
The red-violet planet is the main focus in my animation while the rests are just decorations I suppose. It is pretty ordinary and because I'm drawing it toonboom so I cannot add more details in it.
This is the universe background which I managed to make it Photoshop:

(I'm using this image as the reference for the glowing colour mix such as blue and red, and also the stars pattern)
(I got the violet inspiration from this picture)
(Both those pictures are my references for the stars)
(References for the colour blending and I really like how mysterious the universe looks like)
Before I changed my universe background, this is what it looks like, it is just a pale black with nothing on it:

(It may not looks the same with the reference pictures, but at least I got the idea out of it, I'm trying to mix the violet, little blue, and black colour which turns quite nice actually. I downloaded the concept art brushes from this website: https://soldatnordsken.deviantart.com/art/My-painting-brushes-Concept-art-speedpainting-415473881 ) The brushes are amazing especially for landscapes and it helps me a lot with some of other digital paintings that I made.
This is what it looks like after I imported it in toonboom:
The main planet and the clouds may not seem to be really clear because I put them on another layer
If I have enough time to finish my whole animation before the due date, I might draw several more backgrounds to make it look nicer :)
I also found this tutorial very helpful:
