Animating Tests (BSA 124)
Animating Tests
Another review of my stop motion class guys. After finishing our sets, this is the time to start our real animation. This week's class is the last one before the term break starts, so in order to get most of our stuffs done as quick as possible, we tried to do some animating tests with the lip syncing and Lulu's walk cycle.
Before we start, Megan and Chloe have made several eyes and mouth expressions which look like this: And we tried to apply it onto Zack's and Lulu's face using glue tape.
As you can see, Zack's edgy style is really shown on his expression, I darkened some of the outlines to make it looks better and clearer.
When we were setting up the set as the preparation before testing.
Finally, we did some short animation when Zack and Lulu are arguing on the couch. I was in charge of the dragon frame, while Megan and Chloe took turn in animating Zack and Lulu. Everything went pretty smooth, just sometimes the set moved a little bit and we had to set that up again which wasn't easy at all. So, this is the final outcome of the lip sync test:
It took us more than an hour just to animate several lines since we changed the facial expression quite a lot.
This is Lulu when she is walking across the screen.
